The National Decommissioning Centre welcomed staff and students from the Collins College of Business at the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
During the visit on Friday, 12 May, the group toured the Newburgh facilities including the 300-degree marine simulator, the high pressure hyperbaric testing vessel and deep water immersion tank.
Staff from the NDC gave a presentation covering the current research projects at the centre and answered questions from the group.
The students were taking part in an exchange with Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen as part of their Energy Management course which involved lectures from industry experts as well as visits to local facilities.
Funded through the Aberdeen City Region Deal the NDC is a global technology research and development hub that is a long-term £38m partnership between the University of Aberdeen and Net Zero Technology Centre.
