National Decommissioning Centre director Richard Neilson and Simulator Technical Manager Marcin Kapitaniak for their success and recognition at the University of Aberdeen’s Excellence Awards.

Richard won the prize for Success in Engagement with Industry for collaboration with Claxton Engineering Services Ltd. which has resulted in the development of revolutionary technology for underwater laser cutting.

Marcin was shortlisted and runner up for the Research Impact Award for research using the NDC’s marine simulator to de-risk novel offshore floating wind technology.
